Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted deeper integration with social networking service Facebook, which is coming to iOS, along with the Twitter integration introduced in iOS 5. The news comes at the D10 conference, where Cook talked about a range of potential Apple products.

Cook said the company "could do more with them [Facebook]. Stay tuned." However, he developed the statement after being questioned by co-host Walt Mossberg.

"For us, we want to provide customers simple and elegant ways to do the things they want to do. And, Facebook has millions, hundreds of millions of customers, and so, anybody that has an iPhone or iPad, we want them to have the best experience with Facebook on those platforms," Cook said.

On the question of whether Facebook is "onerous," as Steve Jobs once called the company, Cook said "they have their own way of doing things."

Some users wondered why Apple didn't integrate Facebook into iOS 5 but, as The Verge noted, the demand of iOS users could force integration despite company differences. Facebook has 900 million users, and is now a public company. With the stock price for the company dropping, integration with Apple - the company is approaching a $1000 share price - could help the social networking giant.

Cook also touched on companies Apple buys, and whether more will be purchased under his tenure. He said Apple continues to buy companies, and may reveal acquisitions depending on the size and price. "If I don't have to I don't," he said.

"I feel strongly that being secretive on the product side of our business is so important," he added. Cook added any company, and its software, wouldn't be acquired purely for revenue. Instead it would be because of the technology, the people and the IP or even putting the people on another project. Apple acquired technology to bring Siri, its voice recognition technology, to iOS along with the iPhone 4S.

Cook reiterated that fans should "stay tuned" on the news, hinting we could see something special at WWDC, which begins June 11.

Wow, IOS is tracking their users and how to stop it

News about the IOS tracking their users came from some of security researchers claim if Apple secretly tracking the whereabouts of iPhone users and store it in a file that can be easily accessed.

iPhone is able to record the existence of a user through information such as coordinates of longitude and latitude and time zone related. Data can be easily copied to another computer by anyone who finds the phone.

The data is stored in a file called consolidated.db and was discovered by two British software developer who is looking for ways to visualize data for site location.

Tracking of users can be done by telecom operators, although it is for intelligence investigations. However, the data stored by the iPhone can be accessed by anyone who has access to mobile phones and computers connected to the phone. Moreover, the data is not protected by passwords or encryption.

This can harm the user, because personal data can be easily accessed by anyone. But do not worry there are ways to prevent it, there’s an app to delete the log and Prevent IOS from keeping one. This application is called Untrackerd, which can be installed on jailbroken iGadget from Cydia software repository. You can download the application here.

Nokia Italy: Symbian Carla was cancelled, Symbian Belle FP2 to be the last version

Nokia’s 41 megapixel monster, the PureView 808, is going to hit the market at the end of this month. How do you launch a product and get the attention of the press? By holding a party with an open bar! The guys at Nokialino, an Italian Nokia fan site, were at such a party, and besides getting to fondle the 808, they also got some information about the future of Symbian. First, the 808′s predecessor, the Nokia N8, will get updated to Symbian Belle FP1. It’s not going to be the same version of Belle FP1 that’s on the 808, but all the important things, like a new web browser and some additional performance tweaks, those will be in there. Second, Symbian Carla, which was supposed to be the version of Symbian that comes out after Belle, that’s been cancelled. Instead, Nokia will come out with Symbian Belle FP2. What’s in Belle FP2? We have no idea. And don’t expect to hear anything about Symbian Donna either, that was supposed to be the version of Symbian that shipped with support for 720p screens and dual core processors.

But enough Symbian talk, let’s go back to the 808 PureView. It’s obviously going to be the best camera phone on the market when it launches, but how many people are going to avoid it once they realize it doesn’t run one of today’s fancy new operating systems? Windows Phone is Nokia’s future, so we should be asking Nokia when they plan to bring PureView technology to Microsoft’s platform. Right now they’re not saying anything, which has us a bit concerned since the Finnish handset maker is nosediving. Unless they can announce a device that gets people excited, then there’s only so many quarters they can keep on bleeding through.
